EC 300 query
I test rode the 300 on Saturday. I liked it but was put off by one thing..
I found it didn't cleanly progress into band. Is this normal or was it a jetting problem.? It was under light progressive throttle when it occurred. If you gave it a handful it didn't do it , but then you had more then you needed in power.. What do you think? Or was it my riding style

Yup the 300's are very smooth coming onto the pipe/power. They are very linear and are sometimes called 3 strokes for that reason.

My opinion I think gas gas needed to pay more attention to their carbs. I'm rather disapointed in the amount of screwing around I have to do with the stock carb to get it to run right and not to mention to avoid it from spill gas everywhere on a slight incline. For a brand new bike I dont want to be messing with the float and stuff, jetting is understandable.
With the noticiable results of the RB carb mod, it tells me that gas gas did not do their homework. I know my stock carb even with my jet kit is holding my bikes performace back. |
