Default 2011 ec 300 Throttle Cable doesn't have any free play...

the adjusters are all the way in. it turns freely, but I would like a little slack. Is there something that I am missing? Cable has a lot of slack and is not in a bind anywhere.
Thanks
Rob

I removed the larger diameter "set nut" and screwed the thumb knob all the way in.

They have always been a little short for my taste. A 2" longer Motion Pro cable has been available for a few years now. Not sure if it will work with the new AS II carb.

Come on Rob I just safety wired that thing for you. Don't go messin up all of my hard work!

Secondly if you do not like that bike I will offer you $2,500 for her. Quit yer bitchin and just ride that bad boy WFO! You always have that orange/white P.O.S. in the garage you can go back to.

On the brighter side of things she sure is a pretty bike! I wil ride her hard and put her up wet for you!

Well, if it isn't "I don't have enough throttle play...", himself I followed your directions and put it back or did I, I meant too, but got busy trying to sort all the other stuff out. I got my wire in the box, I will make sure that it is good before I ride. You get Johnny's email about riding Rio?
Rob
PS: robby call and let's figure out if you are riding tomorrow!

The boss pulled the "Wife Card" on me and said I had to work in the flower beds. I even tried to tell her I wanted to take the boat out and she shut that down too.

I understand. I went to Rio, it was fun. took both the KTM and GG, the KTM seemed to be much better all around. I think one issue was the rear tire, I noticed that it has NO knobs, to speak of, on the sides. I think that 1/2 inch off the top of the seat would do wonders for me in the tight stuff.
