adding a battery for HID

Im about to make a new loom for my 2000 EC 300 as the one on there is abit rough and repair after repair, if i wanted to add HID i know id need a battery so isit hard to wire in a battery? would i need to change the stator? im not sure which stator i have but i remember seeing something that you can tell by the postion of the wire as they come out of the case? mine comes ou at the 2 oclock postion

Then you have the larger 2K-3 ignition. For HID you will need rectifier/regulator for DC system with isolated grounds.
