Cheers mate,
Well we finally removed the race. It took me grinding two opposite sides and welding a tag on each remaining side and a bearing puller to remove it , but all looks good. I reckon the shaft has been heated on practically every side , one way or another so hopefully we'll be ok, what do ya reckon? About to go get bearings tomorrow and could do with some info if anyone has the info. Cheers Mark |

As I am in a rush and cannot afford the time to wait for a roller type bearing for the left side crank bearing we are going to use two caged ball bearings and then rebuild the whole lot( big end , rod , piston etc when I get back from the week away.
Will this be ok as the 2000 models used to used a rcaged roller each side didn't they. Cheers Mark |
