Exclamation ISDE Starts Today!

The day has finally arrrived! New Zealand trails are about to be ridden by 600 riders twice a day for 5 days (last day is just motocross special test).

So far weather has teased us with one day of sunshine and no wind....today looks like scattered showers between the sun. The mood has been very relaxed and alot of free time compared to other years it appears. Bungy jumping and jet boat rides between walking special tests for most of the riders. Beautiful place with so much to do, but that's over now, time to concentrate on our boys and girls out riding. They are on a relaxed "B" schedule the first two days. If you want any updates on a particular rider let us know, 40 riders makes it hard to keep tabs and tidbits on all, but we'll try.

5 GasGas's on US Team including Fred Hoess and Eric Bailey (gofasters.com sponsored rider) on the trophy team. Lacey on the women's team. Derek Steahly on a GasGas bike for a future article in dirt rider. Daniel Janus from Hall's Husky/GasGas is on our club team with Pat Garrahan and Brian Sperle.

Junior Trophy team has worked together quite well and are hoping for good results. As is the ISDE seasoned Trophy team. Well, gotta get out there, 10 minutes before first rider leaves for the day at 7 am!

GO USA!

I hope Cole Kirkpatrick does well! He is a great guy or kid if you will and spanks the crap out of us here in the Texas Enduro Circut.

Bad side is that he rides a KTM.

Default ISDE Day two!

Day two in the books and Kurt Caselli is FLYING! This is very exciting here and the US pits are all abuzz! Not sure if he's in second or first but at this point who cares? As he's in the running! Rest of the junior team doing quite well today as well in the mud after a quarter inch of rain through the nite.

This rain didn't help many club riders however as many finally ran into problems. John Bennet had stator problems and has lost some route points as well being possibly suspended for recieving outside assistance. Nicole Bradford ripped off a radiator and lost some route points but got her bike back together. Lacey Jones had some trouble in the mud and has houred out by ONLY 5 seconds! Mandy Mastin still going strong!

Luke McNiel, Brandon Johnson, David Kamo, Steve Levian, Cole Kirpatrick all running strong. As is the GoFasters guys of Brian Sperle, Pat Garrahan and Daniel Janus!

Dylan Debel small rear brake problem no dropped points, Rory Sullivan going good.....that's all I can think of right now....we'll keep you posted.

Default Day 5! Rain, Rain, Rain!

Day five started out with light showers and turned to heavy rain causing the course to disintigrate and leaving every rider for themselves to get back to the par ferme early. After check 3 things got ugly as the rain continued to get heavier! The officials eventually cut it off and sent riders back early for impound. It made the paddock a very exciting place as the riders came in out of order and on different minutes but the USA support handled it quite well. As of right now, they are not sure if they will keep the first two tests but the last tests will not count. Many, many cold riders but all in all spirits are still high!

No new rider have houred out, in fact Mandy Mastin got her's back when the dropped a check from yesterday!

Jon Seehorn had his rekluse clutch go out and had to replace in the paddock, that is not an easy task but all handled it quite well.

Most of the club riders just fueled up and checked in early wanting to get out of the rain. We'll see if it quits raining to allow the day 6 moto test.....keep your fingers crossed.
