Default 2000 200ec

This is my 'project' 200ec

I've lowered it, flywheel weight, prepped it to plate etc.

I'm going up to try and make the power as mild as I can- keep the first part of the suspension soft.
Trail machine, sort of in the spirit of the Cross-trainer- but lower and milder. (I hope)

It has been fun so far!
(clake2 is on th way, Vapor is mounted and installed now)

Very Nice!

Great looking EC200. Great project to.

I love the idea of a pseudo Freeride type bike and the EC200 should work perfectly for that.

Our '99 EC200 is still an all tim favorite tight woods bike.

Looking forward to some ride reviews!

Thanks!

I bought it in Barlow, OR. - not far from you.

I'll keep the OSSA for the really tight stuff- but this should be fun for the rest (I hope)

Really! That's awesome. Not many 200's around, especially that vintage. Great find.

Here's our '99:

Your bike looks great. I like the black/yellow side plates.

Here is some of what I've done:

I finished mounting the Vapor, still need to install the wheel sensor.

Horn, LED taillamp/stop lamp and turn sigs run of tiny little LithPoly battery.
Headlamp, stock taillamp/front stop run off AC.

Mods:
Lowered about 1.4"
Progressive front springs
Moved pegs back about 1" (and down slightly)
Flywheel weight
Tubliss F/R
IRC radial trials tyres F/R
New reeds
My favorite grips
Turn signals
Horn
Switchgear
Rear lamp/plate holder
Fork seals/ service (and internal spacers)
Rear brake lamp switch
Packed muffler-(might mod a KTM 'Hockey Stick')
(Clake 2 on the way)
(I still have to make shorter side stand)

I took the 200 out for the first real ride yesterday.

I have more things I am planning on doing, but so far I am quite liking it.
The 32mm OKO carb is working a lot better than the stock 38 - at least for what I am aiming for.
Lugging and low end traction LOT better and more controllable.
The Clake is working well, I am going to do a bit more fine tuning with the cams, but very good now.

The power is smooth and controllable down low and eaiser to keep the tyre for spinning.
The pegs further back (and a little lower) work better for me- although I'd like them even more back.
Also looking to increase the flywheel weight eve more if I can.

It is also plated and I need to put mirros back on for full street legal.
I made a new sidestand, since it needed to be shorter and I didn't want to cut up the original.
Plus the one I made is lighter (wouldn't want to sit on the bike with it!)

It also got some attention, don't see too many of these yellow bikes around here.
