Default Need steering head bearing info..

So I have a set of Marzocchi 48mm forks with triple clamps for my 2001 EC 300. What I've found is that the new steering axle is larger at the bottom than the old one and using the old one is not an option without some kind of bushing.

The new axle measures 28.12mm at the bottom bearing and the old one measures 25.25mm. Obviously there is no way a 30205 bearing will fit on this axle.

Is there a 28mm bearing that will fit in the 30205 bearing race? Are the newer gasgas bikes using a larger lower bearing and race? More worrisome, I wonder if the lower end of the steering head on my EC 300 is smaller than on newer bikes.
