I did the class in 11/07. I thought I was a pretty decent rider, but I learned A LOT. it was awesome; it never ceases to amaze me the # of people who will line up to spend $350 for a pipe or something that will make their current bike a SMIDGE better (maybe) when they could spend that much to improve their own ability & will get better results & have more fun on every bike they will own from then on. go figure!
it is most definitely worth the $ & then some. it is amazing how well he makes it work for all the different skill levles. I would do it again & I just might someday. |

Interesting that this thread showed up. I was asked by my cousin to attent the school with him in ND. I signed up. I will post a report when I get done with it. Should be interesting. I have heard alot of good things about his class. It should be fun to actually have someone show me how to properly ride a bike. I ride pretty much exclusively on my own and learn most of my techiques from races or from watching someone on TV or in person. It will be neat to have someone show me and tell me what I am doing wrong.

I took his class just a little over a month ago. I have rode for almost 30 years and so wish I'd done this when I first started riding. I usually ride 1-3 times a week and thought I was in pretty good shape, but I was really whooped after day 2. he really worked on proper execution of basic skills. If you practice the same thing wrong over and over you just don't get that much better. the class was a lot of fun and challenging. here are some pictures from class

I just finished up his school here in BC. All I can say is wow! I feel like I finally have the tools (ie. things to practice) to get to the AA level. Shane breaks down the skills into easy to follow steps, so it really isn't that hard to learn how to ride at a higher level. Now, time to go practice some grinding!
