I know. I'm just yankin your chain. I'm thinking gasgas's marketing dept are held up somewhere deep in a subterraniun vault below the factory building with no communication lines to the engineering dept. Nobody out here including the importer knew what the xc came equiped with till they opened my crate when it arrived a couple of weeks ago.

2011 XC 300. has a headlight and comes without ancillary wiring harness and related junk,. Ohlins rear, crappy zoke 45's up front. Not sure about spring rates but whatever they are they will be to light. Will put my old ohlins 46 or showas up front and be done with it.Thats what you get when your price point is a couple grand less than the orange bike and I'm ok with that.

sounds like a great bike but i have to agree with the "whats in the box" way of things. last season when my buddies 250 six days came it had all kinds of stuff on it that wasnt supposed to be there. extra billet parts and such. its friggin hilarious that you never know what goodies you might get(or not get) until you open the box.

it looks like the race has the handles last years had under the rear fender? the 2011 stock EC ive seen was missing these handles and the rep told me that they werent on the bikes this year. is it only on the R? maybe someone with a new 2011 can shed some lite on the subject

The issue seems to be that the bikes are photo'd in EU spec and then passed around.

The pictures also show an upper chain guard and the chunky turn signal switch gear - don't count on seeing those or the rear inner fender on US bikes.

The inner fender would be a nice touch for lifting a '10 bike, or maybe one with a Leo Vince, but there is barely enough room for a small hand between the Q Stealth can and the fender on '11s, even without the additional plastic.

Would it be that hard to get photos and specs of US bikes so we would know what were getting? I dont get it ?

This is one thing gasgas needs to take up a notch IMO.
