Best Grips for Deadening Vibration?
I've had ongoing problems with my hands going numb after about 10 minutes of riding. I've got both a GG300 and Husky WR250 and they are both shakers. Any suggestions on grips that help isolate the vibes? I've tried the pillow top style and they didn't help much. I've also filled my bars with silicone goo and that did have some effect.

I have found that the Pro Grip Model 714 Dual Sport Rally Grips works the best. They are rather large if you have small hands.

I don't think it's my technique, I've ridden and raced for almost 40 years now. I think it's old age, rearing it's ugly head in various ways.

No doubt, getting old sucks. I've used the ProGrips in the past, and while they are soft and squishy, it may be the diameter that helps the most. I was told it's the small diameter death grip that causes the numb fingers.
I haven't mounted a set on my Gasser yet, and consequently experience numbness alternatively in one hand and then the other. Opening up my hands (two or three fingers on the levers) helps ...

This is what I finds helps the most. You really have to think about it while riding, but letting go of the death grip and thinking more of balancing yourself on top of the bike while standing works. Almost to the point of letting your hand float on the grips. It also help alleviate arm pump too.

I used a lot of upper body in the past and now that I'm older (and hopefully smarter) I've been working on staying in more perfect balance and using mostly legs. I will slow down a little and try to ride while barely gripping the bars and relaxing my upper body, at times even gripping with only one finger. My hands are still there in case I get off balance and have to muscle the bike. It takes some getting used to but but it showed me how lazy I was being with my legs and relying on upper body muscle to control the bike. This practice technique was recommended by a couple of really fast riders and it may help you if for no other reason but a way to give your hands a rest while you keep going. My GG200 has a little vibration but I'm surprised you think the Husky is a shaker. My 09 WR250 feels smooth to me but is a brute to hang on to if I get out of shape. |

GasGasMan hit the nail on the head. These grips are awesome, soft, comfortable and they never wear out. I have been running the same grips for 4 years and they show little signs of wear. Awesome for $12 or so.
