Default anyone else have this problem on their 14 300xc?

The aluminium seat catch behind the tank keeps bending into the tank - its almost worn its way though the tank. I bend it back but keeps making its way forward again. Anyone else got this problem and thought of a fix?

Some time ago I noticed similar on my 2013 model. Don't think mine had bent persay, but was making contact and wearing into the tank. I glued a piece of rubber against the back side of it to act as a buffer between the two. No issues since.

Thanks mate, I've copied your remedy. Hopefully that fixes it.

Hope so too. My upper tank mount is a pretty snug fit with the rubber tubing in there (but always was stock too). I'm pretty sure I relieved the tank a little and switched to a longer bolt to reduce the risk of cross threading.

FWIW the tank is probably 4-5mm thick right there. Looks like you have a long way to go before it wears through. I'm not trying to dissuade you from a fix, just trying to ease your mind about the condition of the tank.
