Showa fork swap complete - better photos added
Hi to All, I have recently completed my fork swap. The aim was to fit Showa 47mm TC forks to my 02 EC300 without butchering anything and still being able to go back to the WP 43mm forks if required. I am very happy with the result; it rides nice and high up in the stroke, glides over trail trash and seems to work better together with the Ohlins back shock, which I have just serviced. ?New? parts Forks: Showa 47mm TC ex 2007 RMZ 250, stock 0.44 springs ? completely rebuilt with new seals bushes, o-rings and Silkolene Pro RSF 2.5wt oil Triple clamps: 2005 RM250 22.5mm offset Triple clamp axle: Custom machined 7075-T6 alloy Triple clamp nut: Custom Machined 6261-T6 alloy Brake caliper adapter bracket: Custom machined steel Axle spacer ? left hand side only: Custom machined and ?blued? steel Steering stop: Custom machined steel and welded to frame. Fork Gaurds: 2007 RMZ250 - Yellow GasGas OEM parts used Front Wheel Front Axle Brake Caliper Brake line clamp Front Guard Steering Stem bearings, o-rings and dust cover.
