Default new gasser for me!!

whats up everbody.

just got my first gasser 2012 ec300. so awesome. im coming off an 03 ktm 300 and the gasser puts my ktm to shame. that being said..... the gasser has a couple issues.... first the stupid plastic clutch cover was leaking. fixed it for now with a new gasket and some rtv. anybody make a not plastic cover? second. when i drained the tranny to replace the cover there was some antifreeze in the oil. not awesome. my first instinct is the inner clutch cover but before tearing into it could there be any orings that might have gone in the water pump?

Default RE: AJP cover and antifreeze leak

http://www.lewisportusa.com/parts_bars_rescovers.htm

Call them at Lewisport to make sure (trials specialists, super helpful, used to ride/maintain trials in Scotland before coming to the US), but I think the covers are the same for trials and enduro... be sure to measure yours because they come in a "large" and "small".

There are much more experienced commentators on this forum re: the antifreeze/oil cocktail your bike is making....but I'm sure you are right, the WP can be a leak source. Here is a video of a rebuild on a 2007 EC300 that may be helpful.

The 2013 cover is metal, if you can find one that some else replaced.

You can pick up a Rekluse clutch cover, very solid.

Ohhhh THAT clutch cover. I thought you meant the plastic Master cylinder cover. Duh. BTW welcome to the coolest forum on the web! Now that I have my gasser dialed in I absolutely love it, and I'm sure you will get there soon.
