Need sub mount for my 04 DE300

I want a sub mount, I'd like to raise my bars. I called BRP yesterday & the guy I spoke to said they didn't make one for an 04. Something about there wasn't a stem made to work with a sub mount. I went to Pro Tech's web sight & they show a sub mount system for an 05 & up. Is there a difference in the 04 & 05 triple clamps? My bike has Scotts triple clamps top & bottom. Any ideas, thanks.

Protect sells them for the '04s. I have one on my bike w/ stock triple clamps.

I guess Pete at Protect has been swamped lately and being a one man show it's been hard keeping up. Send him an email from the link on the site and he should get back to you.

Thanks guys, I'll give protect a call, I seen they made them for 05's & up but didn't know if they would fit an 04.
