Bedding in new pads
Up until last weekend my rear brake was fine , could lock the rear wheel with ease etc .. anyway last weekend I managed to kill the pads which obviously made the rear braking shite, changed the pads today and it's pretty much still the same .. do they need bedding in etc ?

They will seat themselves within a mile or so.
If you went all the way down to the metal on the pads, the rotor maybe contaminated. Last edited by gasgasman; 06-17-2017 at 01:41 PM. |

Yep! Check the rotor is still true and not chewed out. Give it a clean. Double check the pedal actually pushes the pistons out. If needed go and drop a few hard stops on a solid surface and they should bed in quick enough.
