Well guys I am heading to the store here in a few minutes.

I could not find any "Butt Butter" around here so I am going to buy some Preperation H, and some Vasoline.

I hope you guys aren't playing some bad joke on me! If so you guys are just plain mean! LOL

I guess I will decide which one I am going to use early in the morning as I have a family enduro to race in.

A & E ointment. Took care of the diaper rash on all 3 of my kids. Cheap and you can get it everywhere.

Brand names! Sport shield, and "Body Glide." You will find these in Triathlon minded stores. I don't know if you have those around there. If not, try a scuba shop. I used to use Desitin, the diaper rash creme, it was okay, but not nearly as good as Body Glide. We used to have some stuff called "Bag Balm," but it's nearly as slippery as "Sport Shield, or Body Glide."

I too have found that riding standing up is the best solution, but it's amazing how often I've found that I actually do sit down during a very long race. Usually when reaching a gravel road or something, but still, when you go 100 plus miles, you find yourself on the seat a fair amount.

On the soapbox for just a second. I once heard a riding tip from multitime national champion Mike Lafferty. He said simply this. "Stand up, the guys beating you are!"

Off the box. A good set of cycling shorts is a nice compress to the upper legs and more comfort for the bonch area. If you'd like to surprise all of your pals out there on the B course, start training for a triathlon. Hit the pool a couple times a week, ride your bike to work, and run a minimum of 4 days a week. Pick a local Olympic distance triathlon, and use that to train for. It's a short course triathlon, a .9 mile swim, a 28 mile bike, and a 10K run. If you are trained up for that, a motorcycle race is more easy to train for, you just ride your scoot a fair amount to get those moto muscles twitching. If you want to destroy the morale of your competition, train up for a half ironman. Fitness won't be your roadblock.
