Default What IS this?

Recently bought a 2003 EC 200. Just doing some maintenance - fluids, carb, new expansion chamber, etc. I noticed this nipple coming from the left front of the engine case between the power valve cover and the exhaust port. It LOOKS like tubing is supposed to be attached, but there was nothing there. Looks like spooge dribbling out. Anyone know what this is?? Is there supposed to be tubing connected??
