Question Pipe surface rust removal?

Since I have my bike semi-pulled apart for the head-mod, I want to get the surface rust removed from my pipe

Any good suggestions on how to do so?

And when I have it cleaned up, what's the best method to keep it off (aside from drying after a wash - which I always do)?

http://www.nevrdull.com/

If it's just rust staining, check out the link. Nothing will work if the surface is badly pitted.

I use the same stuff. Works great just make sure you remove all of it once it dries.

WD40 & green Scotchbrite worked great on my Muzzy for the ZRX, was planning on giving that a go on my FMF in the next few days. Hit it with a little metal polish after that and it will glow.

x3 That works great for me also on my ZRX with the stainless Tiforce header. I follow it up with brake clean on a rag to wipe it clean.

Another option is #0000 steel wool and your favorite metal polish.

Sweet, thanks for the additional input. I'm going to do the WD40/Scotchbrite method first, then I figure I'll follow that up with the Nevrdull polish - sounds like a great combination.

I'll have to take some before and after pics
