Default Why so many lightly used 2011's for sale?

Seems to be a number of 2011 GasGas bikes for sale after less than 20-30 hrs on them. Most of them have revalved suspension and lots of add on's. Is there something wrong with them or what? Usually don't see so many new model bikes for sale so fast, especially with the amount of work/money thrown into them. Just wondering if something is up. I have been under a rock lately so I may have missed something.

I am wondering the same thing.... Folks who buy the bike new, revalve, get some bolt on goodies, then sell it right away. I guess there will always be a bike or two that is in this case, but I too have seen very many. Is the 300 punkin' wooing them I wonder???

I think a lot of them were sold under the racer support program and they got delayed billing from GGOR. The bikes are coming due ($$) and the riders are trying to sell them before they have to pay for them.

I know that is the case with at least 2 of the 2011s listed for sale right now.

that is kind of a humorous topic to me because if you've ridden the 2010's and 2011's compared to the ktms they are all and more what they should be(including there price point). trust me there is nothing wrong with the 11's and the only thing ktm is wooing would be the die hards that refuse to try something new.

Who said anything about KTM????

I haven't had the pleasure of riding the new ones, hence the question.

Hell, anyone who has ever rode any year GasGas can tell you they handle 10 times better than a KTM. Fit and finish was a little shady, but that seems to have been worked on over the years. Nothing like sheet metal screws going into plastic gas tanks to keep the shrouds on.

How is the red frame holding up???

My Yamaha blue frame drives me effing nutz with all the wear spots that rust if I forget to WD40 it. I swore my next bike would be an aluminum frame so I don't have to deal with it.

I've noticed that and wondered the same thing....I myself couldn't be happier with my 11 300. I was down at Dirt Bike Supply today and was looking at the 300 six days that Rob from Synergy Seals bought and is waiting on delivery.
The bike had a brand new FMF pipe on it, had been revalved by several different susp. tuners and the guy that bought it new just couldn't come to grips with the suspension. I would love to ride one of his bikes that he thinks is "set up" like he likes it. I haven't done anything to my 300 yet and when I was riding it a couple of weeks ago, I was impressed at how it was handling the roots and rocks in stock form.

I really can't see the KTM wooing the riders away. I think the economy is the biggest influence. I saw on KTMTalk where one guy had just taken possession of a 2012 300xc and immediately put it up for sale because he was getting so much heat from his wife for buying it...

Me? I'm keepin' mine!!!!

Congrats on your bike, sexiest dirt bike on the planet. Best handling too.
