Cool. Zoom in on the picture I posted of the clutch side with
the gears for the balancer. The drive gear and the balance gear
each have a dimple on them. In my picture they are NOT aligned.
You have to make sure these two gears are properly aligned
or your vibration will be much worse that without any balancer.
Don't ask how I know.
Cheers, JJ

Im not having any luck locating a balance shaft. I wonder if any other two strokes use the identical shaft?

I am sorry to hear that but am not surprised. Those parts were/are very popular and have been gobbled up long ago.

I also agree that the shaft in the photo is not timed properly and will run smoother once you align the dots.

I think the only way to find the balancer parts these days is obtain them from a quad that is being parted out.

Lol, Thanks Zman. Very much an understatement. You could have
mixed a gallon can of paint strapped to the seat before I fixed the
alignment of the gears. Now you can just about stand a nickle on it's
side sitting on the seat while the bike is running.
I am sure there is a shaft, gear, etc...etc.... (somewhere) here in the US.
Just a matter of finding who has it. Also from a spare motor or someone
selling on old bike for parts could be a source.
I'll keep an eye out for anything and post back here if I see it.
Cheers, Jeff
