Default ec450 & 400

Hi
I am new to the group and I am in the process of building a couple of Supermonos using anEC450FSE and a 400. There are a couple of things I need to know. Is the ignition wasted spark and would a 16x18 clutch master cylinder be OK. Thanks Terry

Terry,

As I mentioned in a post in another thread, I do not know these bikes, but as you are new here, I will at least give you an answer

As these are injection bikes, the ECU does know when to fire the plug. So my guess would be no wasted spark. But if you have a running engine, it should be easy enough to measure?

Regarding the radial (?) clutch pump, I cannot say, but I'm afraid that even the 16x18 might be a bit too big?
I even don't know what dimension the OEM pump on the fourstrokes was, but here is how I would go about to find out:

Check the parts lists for your bikes and a twostroke (EC300) for the same year. If the cluch masters have the same parts number, come back here and ask what diameter the twostroke pump is. I think it is around 10mm, but may remember wrong.

If you have the diameter of the OEM, there surely exists some formulas to calculate the diameter and lever ratio of a radial pump.

Good luck with your builds! Please post some pictures!

I believe the standard master cylinder is about 9.5mm, but there are not many in that diameter available. My engine is at the moment buried under piles of furniture in my garage(wife insists I work on the house first.) So cannot see where the sensor is located.
