My first Gas Gas. Need some help with
Hello.
Just bought a new (to me) 2011 Gas Gas EC 250. Can wait to try it out! $_20-2.JPG I have a few questions: 1. the front headlight is not wired. There is no bulb in the headlight assembly and the inside of the headlight is mostly black? I was thinking of replacing the headlight with a trail tech X2? 2. I also want to install a computer. Thinking Trail tech Endurance II? All I want is an hour meter and odometer. Can someone please explain to me what all the wires in the photo are for? Do I have what I need to make the light and the computer work? IMG_1576.jpg 3. The front sprocket seems to have grooves worn in the outside? See photo. Otherwise it looks good. What is this from? Should I replace it? The back sprocket looks good. IMG_1577.jpg IMG_1579.jpg |

First off Nice Bike! Love the Cervantes replica only 200 of them made. Now on to your questions
1-2. It looks like all the wiring is there. Does it have the headlight switch on the bars? I will try to take some pictures for you this afternoon when I install my voyager 3. That sprocket looks great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Check your chain alignment, view from behind the bike, get down and sight along the chain. The rear axle may be on an angle.
The large connector is from a multifunction switch. I assume you have a non-estart bike. Go here and download the user manual for your bike. Near the end of the manual there is a wiring diagram. You should be able to follow the colors. I can help further if you get stuck. http://www.gasgasmotos.es/en/manuals/models-2-2011.html

Welcome and congrats
She looks really clean, nice find on the bike Like memphis said, sprocket looks good - teeth aren't hooked, etc. Just make sure the retaining circlip is snug and in the groove, appears to be from your pics, but always good to check. I'm not sure what those lines are, but they were on my stock sprocket too. Good luck with the headlight and Trail Tech. I don't know if the Endurance relies on bike power or if it's battery; if you're going to wire into the bike power, make sure there's some type of regulator (I think) inline - fried my original Voyager when it was wired directly Be sure to post up a ride report after you get her out too |

Ok. The single yellow and single grey wires that you have to the left in your picture are not used. Should be a ground (grey) and a power (yellow) for aux. use.
The red and black plug is used for the factory computer which I believe is a trail tech but you are missing part of the harness The single yellow with a bullet connector is another 12v power source (not used) The plug that has a yellow and white wire would be for a brake light switch The large plug is for the headlight but you are missing the harness that would plug into it if you wanted to run a stock headlight Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thats great! Thanks for all the info guys. One more question, is the stock stator capable of running the trail tech X2? (75W I think?) My bike does not have e-start. thanks.

If your bike has the 2k3 ignition, it will power the X2 fine.

My 2011 is a estart and the Trailtech Voyager came with the specific couplings to connect with the oem harness. It was just plug and play. Yours isn't an estart.

No estart on mine. I don't think the race replicas came with estart. |
