choke cable help????

hi all, i was wondering if anyone has the problem of there choke cable having 2 much slack in it? i find that my 2010 300's choke cable gets stuck open often and there's far 2 much slack in the cable. i was thinking of putting a manual choke right off the carb but if i can fix this id rather do that. my friends and i have checked the plunger,cable routing and cant find out why any advice would be appreciated.

I believe we all have removed the handlebar choke lever and just reach down to the carb

The handle bar choke "sucks" bad idea and design, replace it with a choke lever off an older model
