Default Fork Height

Just curious what everyone has settled on with their fork height (ie; height in the clamps)? Particularly interested in pre-'18 bikes but settings on the newer bikes I think might be of some use to others as well.

After being off my '11 for so long I'm going back through the process of dialing in the chassis from scratch. Started off with 5mm and just now moved it to 6mm in the hopes of making the front stick a little better. I'll find out this weekend if it was the right move as we're headed to Flagstaff, AZ, which has a lot of hard pack and rocks, for a big club ride.

So, what year bike and what do you have your fork height set at? How did you come to that setting?

Have you already set your front and rear sag?

Yes, I have. I'm just curious what others ended up with as far as their fork height. I'll end up wherever my bike leads me to.

Curious on this as well. My new to me bike is set flush, which I know isn?t correct. I didn?t notice this until I came across this thread. Is factory 3mm?

I honestly don't know what was factory. I set all mine at 5mm down and then figure out what the bike likes from there.
