Default Leaking petrol from overflow

Could anyone help me out, when the bike is not running and the petrol is turned on it just leaks thru the overflow pipe(I think that's what it's called! the pipe that comes down beside the rear shock). Any1 know what the problem might be? I'm only starting to learn about 2stroke engines.. Cheers

Sounds like your float is out of adjustment, is damaged or the valve is not seating properly.

Pull it apart and check your float height and make sure it isn't full of fuel. Inspect the valve too.

Tapping a screwdriver handle against the float bowl can sometimes get the carb float to "settle in".

A quick trick is to shut the fuel off. Remove drain from carburetor and let drain. Watch or try to catch debris. Re-install drain and turn on fuel valve. Sometime the inrush of fuel will wash out any debris holding the vavle open. If this does not work you will have to dis-assemble the carb and inspect.

Yes you can always pull it apart and clean it, but I would also try a few healthy tap on the float bowl first.
