footpeg mounts damaged
i have seen and heard of people breaking footpeg mounts off, so i've been watching them. i noticed they are now bent and the lower section is getting ground down from the rocks. cant help hitting rocks. any ideas on how to prolong them from breaking off? could i add some weld to beef them up? on my wr426 i used to put heater hose on the frame near the footpegs and they would take a couple good hits before ripping off, but the hose was cheap$

I have boken both mounts off my '01 GasGas and welded them back. I added extra gusseting when I fixed them.
My '06 GasGas had improved footpeg mounts with a better braced lower mount. The rocks still beat on them, but they have held up so far.

You can buy the foot peg bracket that are used on the aluminum framed Jap MX bikes and have them welded on to your bike.
