go to www.neott.com they have a classified section and it also has links to other area club classifieds. I believe there is a real nice (albeit older) Beta on there now. Also you can do a serach on www.searchtempest.com with the keyword trials and you'd be suprised what turns up. Good luck

that would def be a long weekend trip.... been a long time since i have been up that way...

Back in the mid 80's i thought i was in love with a girl that was here for the summer, she went back home and i went up there to see her once... in january... in minnesota....cold cold cold.....One day i had all my coats on and a guy walked by me eating an ice cream cone and looked at me (insert texan here) and said "howdy".....pretty funny....

ah. yea it isnt bad now, 50's even up to 70 out. theres a 2003 txt 280 in owatonna (by the cities) and a 1999 txt 321. the 280 is going for $2300 and the 321 for $1700 so if you absolutely cant find something down there, and the prices even out, you might want to check into it. (plus, we have some awesome trails up here, and honestly which is funner to ride in, 100 degree weather, or 65?) minnesota aint so bad.

Sure is. I had one of these bikes, a 250. LOTS of fun but the Beta is a little hard to ride at the novice level. Tons of torque but not allot of snap when I needed it. When it did "come on the pipe" it was almost uncontrolable. My buddies rode Gas Gas and Sherco's. While they didn't have the grunt my Beta did, they could snap the front wheel up with just a blip of throttle, while the Beta plowed straight ahead. One thing is for sure, regardless of what brand you get, riding trials is some of the best practice you can get when switching over to ride the "big bike" on Sunday.

I won't worry to much on finding a Trials bike close to you. Unless you really really have to see it first. Most trials guys are a pretty honest bunch. And shipping is pretty cheap too.
I bought an 1996 JTR270 had it shipped from Windsor Ont. to Kamloops BC
2300 miles for $200 bucks.
The bike needed a little work but the point is I had a trials bike.

I don't care how many motorcycles a guy owns...but everyone needed a Trials bike in their collection.
