Default 99 - 02 KX plastics on GG 05

I saw a post from 06 saying that they look like they may work.

Has anyone tried it out?

they wont work with the stock subframe, but the 99-02 kx subframe will fit with very little modifications, all you have to do is heat and bend the top tubes on the subframe down about a 1/2 inch, the airbox lines up but the flange is way bigger then the GG and is a loose fit on the carb

Yup, I have white UFO front and rear fenders for a KX on my '05 MC 250.

I don't remember for sure, but I'm guessing I went with the '94 - 98 KX rear per this chart

http://www.gasgasrider.org/html/parts_crossover.html

I didn't have to "modify" the subframe in any way. I may have trimmed a bit of plastic, but I don't remember it being much of an ordeal.

where do you mount the cdi on the kx fender? as on my 06 ec200 it is mounted on the back of the fender and i believe the 05 and 06 share the same rear fender

I think "some" '05s did not have the cdi back there. My '05 MC has it mounted above the airbox like earlier models so no issue.

Not really sure on the '06 model, but on '02 and '03s that i have worked on they are on top of the airbox in front of the filter, and on my '98 it is mounted on the back of the airbox in front of the rear fender, and the airbox covers the rear fender on all three, so the fender shouldn't have any thing to do with mounting the cdi, but like i said i have not seen an '06 so look and see, but i believe the airboxes are the same from '02 to '06.
