2011 ec300 jetting. 20?c

Right now that the weather got a bit warmer my bike is running rich, plug is black.

Current jetting is 38 PJ, JD blue 3rd clip, 175 MJ.

Temps are now 20?c and riding from sea level to 1000ft.

I have a few jets to hand that I can use.

38, 40, 42 PJ
JD red and blue needles
Also a N3cj needle
170 -185 MJ

Carb is a 38mm AS2 and everything is in good working order, new piston around 15 hours ago.

Where do you feel it's running rich? What throttle positions? Is it exhibiting rich behavior or just has a black plug?

Crude and easy check is to simply lift the clip position and evaluate.

It does seem to ride nicely but has the black plug. When you give it a handful it just seems to hesitate a little then the power comes in.

Will lift clip a position and test. Will soon know if any better

My 13 is running the N3CJ on the 2nd clip with a 42/178. Damn near perfect in Ohio.

What's the temp there. I might that needle if I have the time today

If you follow JD needle selection from rich to lean, good chance you'll find a good running combo.
