New frame was 09(08 was older bigger frame). I'm not 100% on the rear pipe mount being the same as 10+. I'll send ya a photo of mine to confirm. Seem to remember different part numbers for fmf fatty of different years

Yes 09 is the new frame but the 09 and 10 up are different again. Small changes but most definitely different. I had a 10 up pipe on my 09.

Yeah right didn't know they changed frame(do remember something about headstock additional gussets/reinforcement after some failures?). Yeah just looked at photos & rear mounts look the same so should be sweet

Just looked on ebay they have different part #s?!

09=025115
10-12=025145

Something must be slightly different? Have a feeling it was to do with vertical shock can clearance

Head stays are missing. I assume cracked. Revised parts for 2010+ - more expensive but probably worth it.

Pipe fitment. She's tight past the shock res. Updated canister for 2010. FMF shows fitment for 2010-2012 but no pipes for 2009. Any idea if the 2010 will bolt up OK?
I ran the 06 up fmf pipe, but liked the stock pipe better.
Fit some rubber between the stinger and shock res.
There was a update on head stays and power valves.
The top end held up good when using 32-1 mix.
Don't know if you have much time on 125's, I would get a feel for it before dumping much cash into it.

Cheers! I was thinking of replacing the silencer and definitely need to source up head stay brackets.

I have the OEM plastic skid plate which will be OK for my purposes.

Like the idea above re painting the stock can. Will try and straighten it a bit first.

What did the replacement shock set you back?

Any benefit with the updates PV?

I can't say I've spent much time on a 125 at all. I know it'll frustrate me endlessly at times.. but I also have no issues hanging off a throttle and using the clutch!

50mm CC zokes up front on her. Just going to ride em before worrying about revalving etc.

I've helped a mate bolt up a WB165 to his 13 WR. Modified SX pipe. Nice kit for sure, but not really something I'm interested in. If I want more powaaah I have modified 250cc donks here for the gassers, and if I want more grunt I'll throw the spare 300 jug on one of them!

The Husky represents a real budget bike! A little screamer. Something light which will force me to further refine my clutch and throttle control. Given the light flywheel on the CR and the smaller displacement it should indeed do that! I'm interested to see how the suspension will feel.

Stock springs are .42 and 5.0 good for 65-75kg rider. I'm 73kgs without gear, so she'll be sprung on the softer side for sure.

In comparison I run .45kg/mm fork springs on my Gasser with a 5.2-5.4kg/mm shock spring (have tried both).

The valving on a CR should be a bit firmer, so could work well together for banging through the bush.. or it could ride down a bit too far in the stroke and beat the crud out of me. We'll see!
