Default Just picked up a 2012 new to the forum.

Hi there my names Chris. Looking foward to some great trail riding in the seasons to come. A little back ground .... I rode offroad alot when I was younger an eventually got into street bikes. I have been riding offroad again now for a little over a year. Made the mistake of buying a 4 stroke mx bike with the smallest gas tank (2010 YZ 450) struggled trying to make it work for me in the woods.... as I rode two strokes in my younger years. Thankfully I made a couple of friends who ride gas gas and introduced me to the bikes. I just picked up my 2012 EC 300 last weekend and I can't get on the trail soon enough......I love this bike!

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the forum. They still have a few quirks of their own (as do all bikes). You'll probably need to put a bit into the suspension and spend some time jetting to get the most out of the experience but once its where you want it you'll be left scratching you head on what to spend money on next.. Rock solid little performers!

Hi Chris, Steve here, saw you out on Howell last weekend... Once you get it properly suspended and jetted, the only thing you'll be spending $$ on is fuel. Much worse mileage than my four stroke anyway... Lemme know next time your up for a Saturday ride, maybe Bill will come too, we'll see if he can stay on his bike this time!
