Install it as the photo shows and how I describe. The wires exit from the front of the cases. Yes, the position of the sensor is different but so is the matching trigger magnet on the flywheel in relation to the crank keyway. It works, trust me.
Also, you can use either CDI with either flywheel stator if you like, to experiment with power delivery. |

But for model 2005-08, theyr no Cross CDI, all CDI are same, what type of modification you propose on CDI? It look like very interesting!

So what ignition does my MC250 have? Can I get lights setup on it?

Sideshow, Your answere lies in the first post of this thread.
The two ignitions available are the kokusan 2k-2 and the kokusan 2k-3. The 2k-2 is rated to generate 40 watts of power, whereas the kokusan 2k-3 is rated to generate 110 watts of power. In reality they generate about 35 and 85 watts, respectively. Determining which ignition is installed on your bike can be done by simply examining the left side of the engine. The wires for the 2k-2 ignition exit the engine cases at the 10:00 position, whereas the wires for the 2k-3 ignition exit the engine cases at the 2 o'clock position. |

So are lights easy enough on my bike then? It's a 2k2.
I am hoping to get a tail and a headlight hooked up.

It works well enough for a turkey run/enduro setup.

Oh cool, so I need to just get the wiring setup for it?

I think you need to get a look at the wiring you have. From there you can determine a course of action. You may just have to plug in some wires under the seat and run them to the lights. You may also want to get switches for your brakes.
This may help too:

I might just buy the dirtfreak battery powered unit for the purposes of getting a NH road plate and get a good helmet setup if I ever ride at night. Not sure yet, also depends on costs. The more I look at that chart the more confused I get. It looks like there is a terminal between the CDI and the front headlight?
