Default Loose yellow wire in airbox

Hey guys! I found a loose yellow wire when I was doing my filter change on my EC300 2008 (first owner). I remembered seeing it before, but never got around to checking what it is for. I've looked at the wiring diagram, but I'm not really an electrics guy, which also explains my reluctance to rip everything apart to try to find out where it goes. The bike works great, and all the road kit too (turn signals and horn are not on the bike now in woods mode, but worked when they were on). The only thing that doesn't work (not so I can tell) is the rain/sun switch. Does this cable have something to do with it? Can't find an empty connector either, otherwise it would be a no-brainer. Would be great if someone could enlighten me!
/Steve
