Thanks for all your replies guys.
But I am unsure if it could be the fuel pump relay.

The pump was working when I tested the injector. I could hear it, but the injector was not squirting.

Unfortunately I have had no time to check things out since I last rode it, haven't even cleaned it yet!

I will check out some of the recommendations re crank sensor on the weekend.

I will keep you informed..
Cheers guys.

Thumbs up Update...

I contacted Solo imports (Australian distributor)
He agreed that it sounded like there was a problem with the injector.

I emailed them after work, John called me at 10am the next day to discuss the issue!!
I tell you what, great service. (Thanks John)

So sending him the possible faulty injector for them to test/replace.
He said they have only had 1 or 2 faulty.

Gav

Default FSR 450 injector

Just before Xmas 07 my 07 450FSR (uk model) started to have problems. It would start from cold but once warmed up it would stall when I closed the throttle. Getting it started again was a nightmare and once restarted it ran rough and wouldn't run with small throttle openings. I couldn't work out what was going on, so I took it back to the uk importers at Buxton. Kev, the mechanic their tried sensors, a new plug and a few other things but eventually fixed it by replacing the injector. He thought that the injector was sticking at wide open.

He said that he hadn't seen it be a problem in the uk on the four stroke before mine, but I don't think they import/sell very many as I have never come across another one whilst out on the trail or taking part in a rally.

I hope yours gets fixed.

Thumbs up Update 2

So, I got the replacement injector from solo imports.
Nice and quick I might add.

Installed it and went for a 100Km ride around the sandy tracks here.

Had no problems at all with the new injector.
Actually, I think the bike had a bit more poke, but that might be psychosomatic?

So hopefully that was the problem and not a intermittent crank sensor....

We will have to wait and see a bit longer..

Gav.

Default Update 3

Definitely fixed.
Been on a few long rides with no problems.

Just need better arm strength to hold onto the bike!

Thanks again to Solo Imports Australia!
