Default Transmission bearing

Hi

I am rebuilding the bottom end and got a question about transmission bearings for my EC 300 -03. When I took it apart I noticed that bearing ME25636058 (SHIFT BEARING 6305) is modified. The inner ring is lathed axially, just a tenth or two of a mm. Is this necessary or can I replace with a standard bearing? Sorry for no pic, I have left the bearings at an local dealer.

That is really strange. I cant imagine trying to machine the inner or outer race of a bearing.

I would measure the shaft OD and bearing OD and then go find the correct bearing.
