Default 12 XC300 where is the weight?

Besides the lights, wiring, Q Stealth, and kickstand, what else could I remove from a Kick Start 12 300? Is there anything to be had?

Is the alloy subframe a big weight saver?

This is going to be my no compromise Enduro bike, not a trail bike. So I'm trying to slim it up and save some stuff from getting broken.

Subframe is only 720g savings after the side cladding is installed. Better piece though ...

I have a poly skid plate on it too.

Tubliss system is another.

I don't see anything else. Looks like it is what it is.

Spent all day, in the mountains on a 12 ec300, Sunday. The only time I felt the weight, was lifting it over a tree.

I really just want to remove all non essential stuff and replace heavy stuff with lighter stuff. Don't really care how heavy it is, only that I've optimized what we can take off.

I'm also curious as what exaclty makes it's weigh what it does. Is it the frame? Frame and Motor? That "inner fender" set up just looks heavy to me. Could that be part of it?

I'm cool with it being a bit over built. I see the long term benefits of having it a little thick. I also like a more planted stable feel.

Default Weight reduction

I figured out a way to drop 30lbs from my 00' EC250. Ride bicycle like I did pre family/kids. I'm 6'1" and weighed 160 at that time and now 190.

Exactly!!! Dropping 10 pounds off your body is a hell of a lot easier than dropping it off your bike.

I agree and I have lost 15 lbs since mid August. I'm just removing/replacing stuff that is unessessary for enduro/harescrambles. As much weight I can get off both of us is the goal.
