For all you jetting gurus out there
Hello all. I have an EC250 06 that I got used. The bike didn't really run all that well. Not snappy at all on low end and covered in spooge everywhere. Cylinder to exhaust and at the end of the muffler. I thought that it was probably jetted rich but when I tore down the carb I discovered 7 slide 38 pilot 178 main N1EF #2 So I think the pilot is actually lean right? The bike has now seized so now I am thinking that all the spooge wasn't from rich jetting but from an extremely worn top end. That's probably a correct assumption? Anyway I am now in the process off rebuilding top end and I want to get the jetting correct also. I ride at 0-500 altitude 20-30 C and I think I'll go with 7 slide 42 pilot 178 main N1EF#1 or 2 depending on the performance. What do you guys think? Anyone know of a combo that just really works?
