You are correct on the supplied tool, but its a cheap tool mine falls apart (the shaft won't stay in the handle). Buy a nice set and be done with it. Then you will always have them for those JIS screws. yeah its like $30 for a set of 5-6...but then again Craftsman Professional stuff is about the same cost. One thing I don't mind buying is tools, good ones are good for your whole life.
