Ok it's a 30mm wide block butted against the triple as it flares up against the tube.
It's about 33mmthe other way but that's not so critical.

Tig with lots of heat in the part first. Don't need to go crazy. Bolted it from below, it turned out to be easy even by hand. Made my first parts out of plastic to get it right and then just replicated in ally.

I've decided I'm going to go with the head stop mounted tang style one. I will make a program and cut it on the wire cutter tomorrow at work, and then grind down what is required after fitment.

Separate point. Using 20x42x12mm bearings, I'm measuring 22mm disc side and 18mm to get the wheel centered. This is measuring the difference from the fork leg to the side of the rim. Sound about right?

In my thread I think I used 22mm on both sides ultimately.

Interesting. I'm wondering if the spindle I've got it from a different year or something, as a fair amount pokes out of the non disc side leg even though the threaded end is out up to the shoulder... Hrmm!

What are you doing about dust seals? Looks like I've got about 4mm on one side and 5mm on the other, thinnest seals are 6mm, just let em hang out?

Wire cutter was busy so I ground a block by hand. Made spacer sets for both front wheels. Looking forward to the weekend

Ran out of gas half way, but she'll hold. 35mm wide at 50mm from centre of stem.
