Default Parts Source??

i was wondering where you guys buy your parts, and if there is possibly a list somewhere of interchangable parts with parts from other manufacturers.

i just replaced the clutches in my 11 six days 300 and the 8 friction disks cost right at 150.00!!! im used to spending about half of that for clutches.

i love this bike but if all the parts are going to cost double of what im used to spending i will be having a 2011 six days 300 up for sale!

there is a crossover list on the main page. search for crossover threads, there are quite a few listings. i get most of my gasgas specific parts from gofasters. go to the technical articles, and it will redirect you to the main page, look on the left side for the crossover list

Hi RBM,

A little off topic, a little still on.. Just wondering how many hours you had on the engine when you replaced the clutch. Did you just put new steels in? How were the old ones?? Glazed or starting to warp? Notched fingers?

I've got around 150hrs on mine now and haven't pulled the clutch cover for a visual yet.

With the 2011 sales, and the expected sales of 2012 models, you'd imagine it won't be too much longer before an after market company starts producing Gas Gas specific replacements.

Anyone want to send some parts to Barnett?

Rekluse has a complete clutch basket. I don't know if the plates are custom or if they can be used in an OEM basket. Give Rekluse a call.

I just got thru talking with a tech a Barnett and they sell a GG clutch kit with steels and frictions and springs for $186.06.
He measured the thickness of the barnett frictions and says they are 2.7mm and that the whole stack height is same as oem clutch pak.
Can one of U confirm that oem frictions are 2.7 mm? This could be an alternative to the high priced oem clutch parts.

You have to replace the whole fibers and metals. But going forward as long as you have the Barnett metals you can run the Barnett Fibers.

I will say that the OEM without being horrible to them, they seem to last an eternity.

it had right at 56 hours on it and i broke a few disks. i bought a set of friction disks from go faster but i wasnt real excited when i looked at the invoice and it was 150!!!! i also ordered a new basket from rekluse, i run the core exp setup, but when i removed my old basket a few hours ago i noticed that the ID of the basket where the gear presses in is much larger on my original basket. i emailed rekluse some pics and they said they they havent seen a gear similiar to mine.

so now this basket is going to need to be machined to accept my gear.

does anyone have an old basket removed to where they can measure the ID of the hole?
