Baffles are for passing emissions.

I guess it is similar to the WR. I guess a 2t 300 will only meet emission controls when it is flat out on the pilot jet with the carb sucking air through a pinhole
I thought part 7 looked like it was part of the pv setup maybe it stops the pv from opening. Honestly would think they should make these parts optional (maybe it is a legal requirement?) because it undoubtedly adds to the cost and also who in their right mind would pay for a race bike with the performance of a 230 agricultural bike? http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....&d=-AIR-FILTER As mentioned the cable choke can stick slightly open and unless someone tells you about it you can battle getting jetting to work or start thinking that your bike is packing up because you start bogging and fouling plugs. That being said there are guys on the forum that ride long road sections between the fun stuff and like to be able tu pull the choke to richen it up while hanging wide open on the road

Its for certain euro emmissions testing. They can sell them for race only with no registration, but if you want to be able to take it on the road its pretty stringent.
Here in Aus we have sound limits, headlight, horn, indicators and chain cover in place. Might be a few others, but much less hassle. |

Could you post pics / info on the throttle cable tie?
As for the restrictors and baffles, it is all down the the good old EU I have a box of bits off my 2013 which I'm never gonna use! |

#7 is a power valve replacement for the left side roller. Basically blocking off the left side for emissions. Chuck it!

#4 is listed as an airbox vent. I think they are meant for installation in the flat sides of the airbox for more air flow. I have them in a bag also and see they come with block off plates for them if conditions are wet/muddy. But, I have never seen a bike with them installed.
