Default ec 300 ,ec 300 racing and ec 300 six days differences

I saw in the official page the 3 models of the 300 for 2009 (racing, standard and six days) , but... what are the differences? the specifications says that the racing version is 4 kg less... but thats all between the 3 models?

Standard bike has Sachs suspension, so does the six days bike. Racing has ohlins suspension. Six days bike and the racing edition have the 2k-2 ignition which has a lighter flywheel so it revs up quicker than the standard EC.

Six days bike has white plastic, racing has different graphics and comes in either red or blue I believe.

Personally I'd get a six days bike if you can. The lighter ignition is great and the sachs suspension is amazing. I have an 07 Six days EC250 at home that I thought was great, but the new 09 I rode at the ISDE was better. The suspension was great, the new seat is awesome and they changed the shock mount position so the bike handles a little better.

Total newbie to gas gas but am in the process of doing some research on these incredible bikes. I too would like to know the difference between these 3 models (standard, racing, six days) in respect to which model is best for what type of riding. I hate choices....(ie the orange XC/XCW thing) and now '09 has these 3 bike models. I really dig the six days look but I have no idea if that is the correct bike for me. Thank you in advance for any help.

The Six daus will have a harder hitting powerband. It will also rev alot quicker. If you ride lots of mud and really nasty single stick with the regualr EC but otherwise go for a Six Days.

Even with the 2k-2 ignition, the bike is still very tractable (at least the 250 is). I wouldn't even consider the regular EC due to the 2k-3 ignition.

By the way, my 09 EC250 Six Days edition was pulling 450s on the grass tracks in Greece...
