Default DIY Articles?

Hey folks.
I just put a TrailTech Vapor on my '09 EC300 and I'm wondering if you guys (and gals) would like a DIY article on how to do it.
I took a ton of pics during the install, but I figured I'd ask before I got to work on it.

I'm not sure if there's a forum rule about DIY stuff (I didn't see anything in the site rules), but I figured this would be a good check with the Admin and Mods.

"Who the hell are you to write anything technical?!!?"
If you'd like to check out some of the other DIY articles I've done, here's a link:
http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/...splay.php?f=22
Almost all of them in there are mine.
Everything from simple stuff to more complicated modifications and procedures (no engine rebuilds yet...heh heh).

If it's something you'd like, let me know and I'll get it together this weekend as I'm not able to get any riding in (work interferes with so much of my ride time....).
Thanks everyone!

Kevan,

I would be great if you did the technical report. I have done several for our site as well. There are no rules about who can contribute them. Everyone is welcome to supply them. Thanks for taking the time to photo and write up a short article on it.

I'm about to put this whole thing together and get it up on the forum this PM, but I need to know a few things first:
- Text/word limits per post?
- Picture link limits per post?

If the Admin or Moderators could let me know on those, it would save me a bunch of time.

Thanks!

The forum isn't the place to put articles - we put them on the main website - so put something together in microsoft word and send it to me and I'll add it to the website. E-mail it to webmaster@gasgasrider.org

Thanks,
jeff

Thanks Jeff, but I roll Mac so....no MS Word. :-)

I found out that it's limited to 10,000 characters and only 4 pictures per post.
I have over 12,000 characters and more than 70 pictures.

I also prefer to retain my copyright with this stuff and the ability to edit stuff (for when some clown on another forum steals it), so I'll figure out a different method.

If images are linked from Photobucket, TinyPic, et.al. there shouldn't be any bandwidth problems here (vs. me sending you a file with 70+ pics).
Just a thought.

Posting a large tech article on a discussion is like pounding a square peg into a round hole...

Send me pdf and I'll put it on the main website and you can add a reference to it here - basically we'll host it for you here - when you edit it just send me an updated copy.

I also had a wiki page set up for this website "gasgas wiki" were you could enter your own articles, etc. But after all the time I just spent upgrading hardware and software - I need to take a break and go for a ride...
