Default Guts racing seats

Anyone here have experience wth them? Looking for some photos of a finished product. I'm thinking of getting there 1" over medium firmness for my 99. I do a fair bit of doubling and being able to sit close to the tank is definitly important to me. As well if anyone knows if I'll have to do any trimming for my current seat base that would be rather helpful. Cheers guys

Here's an old picture of my '01 with a Guts standard height foam and gripper cover:

I ended up swapping the foam back to stock, I don't remember if I had the Guts soft foam and my fat @$$ was bottoming against the pan, or if I had the Guts firm foam and it was rock hard... either way, the tall/medium firmness would have been a better choice! No trimming on the seat base required, but an air stapler will make your life much easier for install.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind! Looks good to me, I thought the 01 had a differnt seat, tank and shroud than mine, but from that photo they look about the same minus the forks.

Default Guts racing seats

Ive purchased the tall/soft version, and compared to my old seat and my ktm seat this is luxury!

The only work I had to do was cut the small hole for the seat retaining bolt as is comes blanked but is "cast" ready for removal so no guesswork required

This is the only pic I have sorry .. But you can make out how much thicker it is by the lack of profile... It's almost flat!

While Gutz seats are better than stock, Fisher seats and Seat Concepts seats are night and day better. Both have a much better foam than Gutz. More expensive but well worth it if you sit a lot.
