2007 ec 250 no key

My mates bought a 2007 and it doesnt have a key is this normal?

Like an ignition key? I got a steering lock key with my 2011 but I have never gotten a ignition key with a dirt bike but then again, ours over here are not street legal like yours in Europe.

Oh right thanks its just that my 2000 model has a key..
