Default Removing the fork cap?

I just bought a 2003 EC 250 and decided to change to fork oil, it has WP 43mm forks.

Any anybody have a short cut tool to hold the hydraulic stop to remove the cap? Mine takes a 22mm but the raised ends of the nut prevent it from sliding over the nut.

Of course if I knew the oil capacity I could just drain and refill without completely removing the cap. I know setting the level is the proper method.

I ended up grinding my wrench to make it thin enough to fit in there.

Oh and it's really important to set the level rather than just add the amount if you know it. Unless you completely strip and clean the forks you can't be sure you have all the oil out. The oil level makes a big difference to handling. I ride a lot of woods stuff, slow with roots etc. So I set my level 10mm lower at 120mm (EC300 Marzocchis) - really helps.
