Default Cylinder removal on a 2013?

We were trying to remove the cylinder yesterday out of an ec 250 2013 and we had to lift up the whole engine just a bit enough to clear the cylinder from the frame (the reinforced part). Not much but we had to remove the front and bottom engine bolts and jack it up .

Is that the normal procedure on the new frame? just checking

No that is not normal procedure. I did it with only removing the head to clear the frame. I did have to also take the exhaust flange off as well.

This isn't what I wanted to hear. It was pain in the ass enough having to remove the lower rad bolts on the 2011 and earlier models.

Sounds like it'll be almost as easy just to pull the whole engine.
