Berkyboy mentioned to me that someone was looking for 250 parts. I have been interested in converting my 2001 XC250 into a 300. What bike are you riding? If you have a 300, do you want to swap some parts? My cylinder and head are stock but in good condition.

I am looking to convert my 300 into a 250 ( if i can find a cylinder & head). I want to keep my 300 parts in case I don't like the 250.

Jason,

I fully understand your dilema. I'm in a similar situation as you. I love my 250 but want to try out the 300's power characteristics. I was planning to keep my stock parts too just in case I didn't like the 300. I have been pricing a full conversion and it's a little steep ($$$). To do it right, you will need the cylinder, head, piston kit, CDI, and change the spacer on the reed valve. At this point, I'm on the fence about the conversion. Not sure in the investment can be justified since I would never recover it when I eventually sell my bike.

Yes it will fit. We sell alot of the cylinder, head and pistons for conversions.

It gets kind of pricey though.
