Yes thats true, please don't take my comment as a slam to the bike, I saw it in person and it is very nice. Its just suprising that only one of two will be kept.

That bike is probably about as close to the perfect rock crawler as you can get.

Would it be harder to turn/ less flickable with the front wheel pulling?

When the bike is getting traction to the front it will pull in that direction. It takes a little adaptation, but once you get over the learning curve, it's a benefit....

I friend of mine just rode a KTM 2WD 300 EXC or something close to that (same company?) during the Colorado 500 and he said it was great in the rocky stuff and good everywhere else. The is an off road mx enthusisist here in town with deep pockets and who knows how many bikes, 2 of which are 2WD (Not to even mention his house in Aspen....).

I love reading about stuff like this as well as watching an all wheel drive bike do so well in an endurocross event. It reminds me of the kid who brought the painted steel ball bearing to the marble game "He broke the game up!"

Wow, what luck. I just happened to see this. I remembered seeing this. I do wonder if Christini would be willing to do another. No doubt the Showa forks added the extra money... I'm now left just wanting because I see no reference to Gas Gas on their site. Geoff's leftover KTM 250 XC would work though!
