From what I hear, Sun is the better day. Last year I just did Sunday and it was totally awesome. Steve has done it more than me, he will have better input. I just don't like riding on easy stuff all day, which is why I don't do most dual sports. My guess is Sat is more open but not boring. ECEA.org should produce some info as well.

saturday is a little more open,, a touch of blacktop and forest road.. and the trails that run along the rails.. the speed on saturday is not as fast usually.. Sunday is faster, more like an enduro type terrain with less opt outs so the big bikes usually dont go out on sunday. The issue I have on sunday some guys treat this like a race and go full out and almost run you over.. it is a fun ride after all.. The trails are epic either day.. I do both.. I run saturday all day and try to do 1/2 to 3/4 of sunday.. gas stop is nuts on sunday.. or it was last year.. they changed direction from the year before.. looked like 400 bikes lined up for a station with one island.. may of had two.. I know when I stopped to get in line I was over 100 yards back..

Thats why you gotta start early, go fast and get there first!

I was haulin' ass up front last year and then had that electrical problem that turned out to be a wet coil wire, wound up in the middle somewhere. We did skip the hot dogs in the woods though.

I'll work out the details with my buddy this week. Once your on these trails, with no rocks and no whoops, tacky sandy dirt, you can't help but twist it.

So,, thinking of a new rear tire for this ride,, mainly as when I bought the 450 last year I said "I'll need new tires right away!". And they are still on. S12? For the rear bridgestone 59 front?? Been about 4 years since I bought tires that weren't dot. I'm planing on a trials for up here in the summertime and I'm going to get a second rear wheel for that. Maybe two as I have a set of dot tires to get through inspection.

Steve thats exactly what I'll run, S12/M59. I raced last week with an MT-16/M59 and it worked fine. Any soft terrain tire works in sand, for me anyway.
